HOMEMADE HUMMUS

You will need:

 

1.5 c organic garbanzo beans (soaked/cooked)

1.5 c raw, organic tahini

juice of 1 freshly squeezed lime

1-2 tbsp of freshly minced garlic sauteed in coconut oil

3-5 tbsp olive oil

1/2 c water (around this much)

a sprinkle of Celtic salt

 

Pulse the garbanzo beans, tahini, sauteed garlic, lime juice and celtic salt in the food processor for a couple minutes. It will be super thick. Add in about 5 tbsp of olive oil and pulse again for about 1 min. Add in a splash of water until you reach the desired creamy and smooth consistency which you prefer. Garnish with cayenne pepper, parsley and another dash of Celtic salt. Pair with sweet peppers, apples, cherry tomatoes, carrots, cucumbers or whatever you're feeling for a healthy snack of plant-based protein!
